Police are investigating after a man was found dead in Belfast

Police have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man in north Belfast.

The victim, 50, was found at a house on Henderson Avenue this afternoon.

Police appealed for anybody with information to contact them.

Police were called to the house at around 1pm after the man was discovered by a relative.

A post mortem examination will be carried out to determine the cause of death.

The man was last seen in Henderson Avenue at approximately 4pm yesterday.

Police later named the victim as Basil McAfee.
