Lisa Dorrian, from Bangor, disappeared after a party at a caravan site in Ballyhalbert and police are treating it as murder. Her family has campaigned to find her body, with a £10,000 reward offered for information leading to its recovery. In a TV interview, Lisa's sister Joanne appealed directly to those who killed her and disposed of the body.
Detectives investigating the murder of a Co Down hairdresser seven years ago have undertaken a fresh search.
The body of 25-year-old Lisa Dorrian has never been found.
However it is understood the new preliminary search on the site in the Comber area is not for human remains.
Ms Dorrian was last seen at a late night party at a caravan park in Ballyhalbert, Co Down in February 2005.
Police have treated her disappearance as murder.
No one has ever been charged with the crime despite a number of arrests.
