Northern Ireland's first private abortion clinic opens its doors today.
The Marie Stopes clinic opens in Great Victoria Street, Belfast, at 1pm.
Marie Stopes International has been holding talks with the police as it prepared to open.
It came amid fears for the safety of staff and patients as pro-life campaigners vowed no abortions will be carried out at the clinic.
The organisation has employed its own security and a heavy police presence is also expected outside the premises.
