She's one of Belfast most prolific models while he's a young amateur golfer with his star on the rise.
Katie Larmour and Harry Diamond — who count Rory McIlroy among their circle of friends — are fast becoming Northern Ireland's golden couple.
And while Katie has already made a name for herself as a top model, television presenter and tabloid darling, her handsome young boyfriend is celebrating his own personal triumph after claiming his first GUI Major title by winning the Radisson Blu West of Ireland final.
Harry (27) clinched the title at Rosses Point this week following some words of encouragement from good friend McIlroy, who sent him a text saying: “Get your name on the board alongside the good players.”
Afterwards, the world's number two golfer, twice winner of the West of Ireland himself, took to Twitter to congratulate his friend: “Well done Haza for winning the West of Ireland! Some great names on the trophy! All that practise at my house is paying off!”
But while Harry's uncle and cousins were there to see his moment of glory, Katie — who fought off 14,000 entrants to be named FHM's last ever Honey — was unable to make it after taking ill.
“My family and I are very proud of him,” she said. “He had been practising really hard leading up to it and I'm thrilled for him that he won.
“Harry's uncle and cousins went on the final day and I planned on going down with them but had caught the flu.
“The weather was so terrible so I stayed at home. But I'm looking forward to watching him for the first time in a tournament at the North of Ireland.”
Katie said her boyfriend and Rory had grown up playing golf together and were still in touch every day.
And she said she was looking forward to meeting the golf champ's girlfriend, tennis star Caroline Wozniacki.
“I haven't met her yet but she seems lovely,” she said. “I'm a huge tennis fan. We were supposed to all go out for dinner when she visited Northern Ireland but Harry and I were away on holiday at the time.”
Harry and Katie, who have been dating for three years, were crowned Northern Ireland's Most Glamorous Couple at the IN! magazine awards in 2011. A former face of Belfast Fashionweek, Kate (28) was also body double for Hollywood star Natalie Portman in the movie Your Highness, and co-presented UTV's music show Live At The Limelight.
The Art College graduate's next project sees her team up with Irish fashion designer Riona Treacy on a beachwear collaboration. Harry, who runs Claudine's Bar in Botanic Avenue, is gearing up for the Lytham Trophy in early May as well as the North of Ireland.
The pair plan to celebrate Harry's victory with a much-deserved holiday. But Katie is adamant this one won't involve golf.
“I'm looking forward to a proper holiday with plenty of sightseeing,” she said. “The last ones turned into golf trips.”
