A suspected Second World War shell has been found at a beach in Co Down.

It's understood it was discovered by a couple out walking on Murlough beach on Sunday.

Police have now sealed off a section of the area following the discovery.

Army bomb experts have been sent to deal with the suspected mortar shell.
