Sports Minister Caral Ni Chuilin hails Linfield boss David Jeffrey

Sports Minister Caral Ni Chuilin has thanked David Jeffrey for his contribution to football ahead of his last game in charge of Linfield FC today.

The minister said: "David has had a hugely successful career at Linfield.

"His managerial record speaks for itself; in just over 17 years he has brought 31 trophies, including a number of back-to-back championships, to Windsor Park.

"David's devotion to his club and football as a whole is unquestionable. In his role as manager, he has helped to nurture young talent within the game and has become a hero to the many Blues supporters.

"His enthusiasm and dedication to the game has been an inspiration to many."
