The body of a man found in the River Foyle has been identified as a missing Dublin teenager, police said.
Kieran McKeon, 18, disappeared with his friend, 21-year-old Alexandra O'Brien, almost two months ago.
They were last seen in a hotel in Londonderry on March 15, when her body was later recovered from the River Foyle.
She was described as a vulnerable woman and had travelled to Derry after she checked out of a mental health hospital in Dublin.
The PSNI confirmed that a post-mortem examination on remains pulled from the river on Thursday night have been identified as that of Mr McKeon.
"Kieran's family have thanked the PSNI, Foyle Search and Rescue and Irish Coastguard for all their assistance," a spokeswoman added.
"His family have asked for privacy at this difficult time."
