A man charged with petrol bomb and riot offences is among several people arrested during Eleventh Night bonfires.

The 28-year-old is due in court on Saturday charged with possessing articles for use in petrol bombs and riotous assembly.

He was arrested in the Broadway area of Belfast on Thursday night.

Meanwhile another man aged 22 has been charged with disorderly behaviour and indecent behaviour. He was arrested by police in the Springfield Road area of west Belfast in the early hours of the Twelfth.

Elsewhere, A 39-year-old man arrested in Bangor on suspicion of possession of fireworks without a licence and resisting police has been released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.

Three teenagers were also arrested. One aged 16 arrested in Larne on suspicion of disorderly behavior has been released pending a report.

Two others - aged 14 and 16 - were arrested in Belfast and remain in custody.
