Three held after police are hurt

Three police officers were injured during a disturbance in County Down in which three people were arrested

Three people have been arrested after police officers were injured during a disturbance in County Down.

Minor trouble erupted in Newry Street, Kilkeel, on Thursday night.

Two men, aged 23 and 25, were charged with disorderly behaviour, assault on police and resisting police and are expected to appear at Newry Magistrates' Court next month.

A third man, 24, was detained and later released pending a report.

Three police officers received minor injuries during the disturbances, which were not parade-related.
