Three hunted after beauty spot rape

Police are investigating after a reported rape in Co Antrim.

Police are hunting three men after reports that a 20-year-old woman was raped at a popular Co Antrim beauty spot.

The alleged attack happened on the Lagan towpath close to Moors Bridge, Lisburn at about 6.30pm yesterday.

Detectives are keen to speak to a number of people who were in the area at the time including a woman walking a golden Labrador dog accompanied by a teenage boy on a bicycle; an elderly man with tinted glasses and grey hair; and two male joggers wearing fluorescent jackets.

A Police Service of Northern Ireland spokeswoman has appealed for anyone who may have information to contact officers at the rape crime unit based in Ladas Drive, Belfast on 02890 700305.
