A 44-year-old man has been arrested in connection with loyalist attacks and disorder in Larne last weekend.

It's the sixth arrest as part of an investigation into serious violence in the town on Sunday, March 30.

Up to 100 people went on the rampage in the Ferris Avenue and Knockdhu Park area of Larne, where masked men wrecked houses and attacked police.

One man was seriously injured and a police officer suffered an eye wound. Police blamed the south east Antrim faction of the UDA.

Two other men arrested by police - aged 32 and 41 - remain in custody.
