Farmers have been given another stark warning about safety levels on their land after an experienced and cautious farmer was killed.
Father of three Herbert (Herbie) Rosborough died in a slurry tanker accident at his family farm near Claudy on Saturday.
Mr Rosborough, 66, was thrown from his tractor while spreading slurry and it is believed the tractor and tanker toppled over after slipping on steep land.
The farmer was airlifted to Altnagelvin Hospital where he died a short time later. His son Ivan poignantly revealed to the News Letter that the farmer was “always warning us to be careful and watch ourselves if we were out working on the farm”.
