Olympic champion Usain Bolt could come to Northern Ireland during a planned visit to Donegal, it has emerged.
The manager of the Irish athletics team, Patsy McGonagle, revealed plans are under way to fly Bolt into Ireland on a private jet after the sprinter spoke of his desire to visit the home county of his manager Ricky Simms.
On Monday Mr McGonagle said: “We even have a fella with a private jet who will fly him from London to Derry for free.
“It would be a once-in-a-lifetime situation.”
Asked on Highland Radio when Mr Simms was going to bring him to Donegal, Bolt replied: “I have been asking him (Ricky) the same question for a while, probably next season. I'm looking forward to it.”
