Residents in west Belfast were evacuated from their homes during a security alert last night.
Officers closed part of Lenadoon Avenue just after 8pm. Routes between Shaws Road and Corrib Avenue were sealed off after reports of a suspicious object.
A spokesman for the PSNI later said nothing untoward was found and residents returned to their homes.
