A woman accused of trying to kill her partner has pleaded guilty to stabbing him.
Standing in the dock of Belfast Crown Court in a black trouser suit, 46-year-old Rosaleen O'Tool pleaded guilty to wounding her former partner Declan Croy.
O'Toole, from Alexandra Avenue in Belfast, was originally charged with attempting to murder Mr Croy on June 24, 2009. An earlier court heard there had been an “abusive relationship” between them but that “things had come to a head” when the incident occurred.
Yesterday the charge of attempted murder was left on the books, meaning it could be proceeded with in the future.
O'Tool was released on continuing bail pending the completion of probation reports.
