Woman charged with murder of baby

Police in Northern Ireland have charged a 30-year-old woman with the murder of a baby

A woman has been charged with murdering a baby.

The infant died on April 9, according to the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI).

It follows an incident in Connsbrook Avenue in east Belfast, which was reported to police on March 7.

The 30-year-old woman was arrested in March and was detained under the Mental Health Act.

The woman was remanded into the care of the health system and cannot be named for legal reasons.
