A woman has suffered minor injuries after her face was pushed against a wall during a mugging in Co Antrim.

The victim in her 50s was attacked as she locked up a property at around 11pm on the Corgy Road in Ballyclare on Thursday night.

One man grabbed her bag - which contained a sum of money.

He then made off in a silver car.

The victim was left with minor injuries to her face, after her face was pushed against a wall during the assault.

Her attacker is said to be 5"6 tall, wearing a blue hooded top with either a black or blue scarf covering his face.

It is believed the man had a signet ring on his right index finger.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them on 101.
