Woman left badly shaken after hijack attempt

A woman has been left badly shaken after an attempted hijacking in Londonderry.

The incident took place in the Moyola Drive area of the city and was reported shortly before 10am on Saturday.

Police said a male approached the woman, who was sitting in a stationary car, grabbed her arm and ordered her to get out of the vehicle.

When she refused, the male ran off towards a second man.

Police said the woman was not hurt but was "badly shaken".

The attacker was around 5ft 8inches in height, was clean shaven and spoke with a local accent. The second male was wearing a dark hoodie.
