A 24-year-old woman has been shot several times in east Belfast.
She was found with 'multiple gunshot wounds to her lower body' in Lord Street Mews, the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said.
PSNI were called to the scene at around 10.40pm Wednesday.
The woman's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening at this stage.
The Alliance Party's Naomi Long condemned the shooting as an "utterly appalling and barbaric attack".
Police are appealing for information.
