Pervert uses phone to spy on girls at Ulster leisure centre

A man used his mobile phone to spy on two young girls as they were getting changed at a leisure centre in Lisburn after going for a swim.

The girls, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, were changing in a cubicle at the Leisureplex in Lisburn on Saturday afternoon when the man’s hand, holding a mobile phone, reached under the door.

One of the girls, aged 12, was dressed at the time and stood on his arm.

The girl then chased him out of the changing rooms but he ran out of the building. They reported the incident to a member of staff on reception.

On Sunday the parents of one of the girls telephoned the police who arrived shortly afterwards to interview the two girls.

They gave a description of the man but did not see his face.

Management at the Lagan Valley Leisureplex refused to comment.

A spokesman for the police said they were investigating the incident and urged anyone with information to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
