The funeral of one of the policemen killed in the weekend road tragedy near Warrenpoint will take place tomorrow.

The service for Kenneth Irvine (30) will be held tomorrow afternoon at Kilkeel Presbyterian Church, of which he was a member.

Mr Irvine will be buried at the church graveyard following the ceremony, which is expected to be attended by a large gathering of mourners.

Tribute has been paid to Mr Irvine by members of the Ballyvea Rural Development Association, of which he served as secretary.

A death notice from the Association in this morning’s Belfast Telegraph read: “Our thoughts and prayers are with Andrea, Callum and family circle. Safe in the arms of Jesus.”

Details are not yet known of when the funerals for the other victims will be held.
