People in the UK are more frustrated by minor inconveniences like potholes in the road and slow broadband connections than big issues like hospital waiting times and job losses, according to a new survey published.
The research, commissioned by phone firm O2, shows potholes came out top of a list of niggles, with 49% of those asked saying it was their biggest daily frustration.
This was followed by anti-social behaviour, with 42% of respondents, and then slow internet connection at 41%.
Crime was at 26%, job cuts at 18% and hospital waiting times at 14%.
The study by Populus, which quizzed more than 2,000 people, also found 36% said unfriendly customer service was top of their list.
The research was commissioned to coincide with a new O2 advertising campaign aimed at tackling slow connections and poor customer service.
Felix Geyr, head of O2 Home Broadband, said: "It's clear from this poll that the British public is getting increasingly frustrated with the UK's broadband services.
"As the new Government comes in, and it looks to get the UK online and connected by 2020, we think that now is the time for all internet service providers to change their ways and try to eliminate as many of these daily frustrations for our customers as we can."
