600,000 euro drugs haul seized

Cannabis worth about 600,000 euro has been seized in a raid in Cork (Garda/PA)

Drugs worth an estimated 600,000 euro have been seized in Cork city.

The cannabis was discovered at a unit at Ballycurreen Industrial Estate in the Frankfield area. The haul included about 18 kilos of harvested cannabis plants and around 250 cannabis plants.

Three men and one woman aged between 35 and 45 were arrested during the operation and have been detained at Togher and the Bridewell Garda stations.
