Alert after explosive device found

The device discovered in Dublin was later made safe

An improvised explosive device has been discovered in Dublin.

It was found at a house in the Rossfield area of Tallaght.

A number of nearby properties were evacuated and a cordon put in place for public safety, the army said.

A military bomb disposal team made the bomb safe.
