Appeal over man's head injury death

Gardai in Wexford have appealed for witnesses after a young man died from head injuries on Friday

Detectives investigating the death of a young man from head injuries have appealed for witnesses.

Michael Connors, 21, of Cluain Dara, Clonard, Wexford, was taken to hospital after an incident at Belvedere Grove in the town on the night of June 29.

He was later transferred from Wexford General Hospital to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, where he died on Friday.

Deputy State Pathologist Dr Khalid Jabbar carried out a post-mortem examination on Saturday.

The results confirmed Mr Connors died as a result of head injuries.

Gardai in Wexford have asked for anyone who has any information about the incident to contact them.

They are specifically asking residents of Belvedere Grove or anyone who was in the area shortly before midnight on June 29 to get in touch.
