Firearms, ammunition, explosive components and paperwork have been seized following a search in connection with dissident republican activity.
Gardai unearthed the haul from a wooded area in Meelick, Co Clare yesterday evening.
An army bomb disposal team was called to examine the area before it could be declared safe.
The items found were taken away for a forensic and technical examination.
Gardai said no arrests have been made following the seizure and that the investigation is ongoing.
