Delay in extradition bid for Briton

Ian Bailey is fighting extradition to France for questioning over a film-maker's murder

A judgment on whether a British man can be extradited to France for questioning over the murder of a film-maker has been adjourned.

Former journalist Ian Bailey is wanted by authorities in Paris over the killing of Sophie Toscan du Plantier, who was violently beaten to death in the Irish Republic 14 years ago.

Mr Justice Michael Peart, in Dublin's High Court, told barristers he wanted more submissions on a recent ruling which found it was not permissible to extradite a person for the purpose of an investigation.
