Digital ad firm creating 100 jobs

Quantcast says it has one of the most in-depth understandings of digital audiences across the web

A digital advertising company has announced plans to open a base in Dublin with the creation of 100 jobs.

Jobs Minister Richard Bruton announced that Quantcast is to establish its operations centre for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) in the capital and will fill the high quality posts over the next two years.

Quantcast is a digital advertising company specialising in audience measurement and real-time advertising.

Mr Bruton said: "Big data is a sector in which major growth is predicted in coming years, and in which Ireland has significant competitive advantages, between our existing base of companies in this sector, our skilled workforce and publicly funded research in this area.

"Today's very welcome announcement that Quantcast, a world-leading company in this sector, is establishing its EMEA headquarters in Ireland with the creation of 100 new jobs demonstrates the potential that exists for Ireland in this sector."

The investment is supported by his department through IDA Ireland.

Konrad Feldman, chief executive of Quantcast, said the new centre creates a base for satisfying his clients' desire to expand their use of real-time advertising in Europe and beyond.

"Dublin offers the rare mix of a vibrant local technology business scene, an exceptional talent pool and easy accessibility to Europe's major markets, all instrumental in our decision to locate," he added.

As a pioneer of direct audience measurement since 2006, Quantcast says it has one of the most in-depth understandings of digital audiences across the web, allowing marketers and publishers to buy and sell targeted advertising.

Account management, product operations, marketing and finance areas will be supported in the new Dublin office.
