The Irishman who wooed millions by taking his T-shirt off for the star of American daytime TV has confirmed he is emigrating -- and doesn't have a job lined up.
Craig Magee was on his way to New Zealand via Los Angeles when he became the star of the 'Ellen DeGeneres Show'.
The Co Donegal man was walking past Ms DeGeneres' Walk of Fame 'star' on his first day in Hollywood when he bumped into a live link to the TV show.
Ms DeGeneres was in the studio and asking people -- via an outside broadcast unit -- to sponsor her new star as part of a funny sketch.
She joked that Craig could donate some cash or his T-shirt to help sponsor her sidewalk star.
The host was left almost speechless when the 25-year-old from Letterkenny in Donegal quickly whipped off his T-shirt.
Ellen said: "You are my new favourite person. You are fantastic."
She then asked him to sit down beside her Hollywood star to have his picture taken.
Then Ms DeGeneres said: "That's my Christmas card, folks."
Speaking from LA last night, Craig was still taking in his new-found international fame.
"It was just great craic," he said. "I'm on my way to Auckland. I'm hoping to get a job on a building site down there, though it's not certain.
"I'm with my girlfriend and we thought we'd come here for a few days. We're then off to Fiji for a week and then off hopefully to get a job." After his appearance on the show, Craig and girlfriend Jayne McCanny were whisked to the Warner Studios in Los Angeles where they met the star.
He also received a goodie bag full of gifts including a tablet computer.
"I still can't believe I was topless on the 'Ellen DeGeneres Show'. I'm living the dream," said Craig. "Ellen was really nice and genuine."
He does have one regret though, adding: "It all happened so quickly I just forgot to ask for a picture with Ellen. Maybe I'll do that the next time I'm passing through LA."
