One man has died and two people were injured in a road accident in Co Mayo.
Gardai said two cars were involved in the collision which took place on the N17 at Lisduff on the Ballindine to Claremorris Road.
A 38-year-old man driving one of the cars died.
The only passenger in the vehicle, a 34-year-old woman, was injured. Her condition is not thought to be life threatening.
A 33-year-old man driving the second vehicle was also injured in the crash.
The injured were taken to Castlebar General Hospital.
Gardai have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
