An elderly man has been killed in a crash in Co Tipperary.
The man, his early 80s, was the driver of a car which was in a crash with a truck on the M8 southbound.
The crash, in the Raheenrow, happened at around 2am this morning.
The man's body was taken to South Tipperary Hospital where a post-mortem examination will be carried out later today.
The driver of the truck was uninjured.
Gardai closed the road for a forensic examination and have appealed for witnesses. Diversions were put in place.
