A high-tech IT firm is to create 50 jobs in Dublin.

Citrix Systems is to take on engineers, managerial and customer support staff as it expands operations.

John Kelly, senior director, said: "As our customers embrace virtual and cloud computing as an agile and cost effective way to deliver desktops and applications to employees, Citrix continues to grow.

"Our services business in Europe is also growing rapidly; as such we have immediate career opportunities at all levels from graduate to management for technology professionals who want to advance their career in a fast-paced, customer-focused technical environment."

The jobs boost comes on the back of 30 jobs created by the company in 2010.

The recruitment drive is designed to support the ongoing growth of the Citrix technical services business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
