Limerick thieves steal car airbags

Thieves are putting lives at risk by stealing €1,000 car airbags, motorists have been warned.

Security company Netwatch said six airbags had been stolen from cars in Limerick in March and the number of recorded incidents throughout the country has doubled in the last six months.

Netwatch CEO David Walsh also warned that shady garage operators are making profits by fitting a stolen airbags in cars rather than a new one from the original manufacturer.
