Man dies after motorway car crash

Gardai have appealed for witnesses after a man died in a collision on the M4

A man in his 40s has died after a crash on the M4.

The accident involving two cars happened at around 9.50pm on Thursday night on the motorway, eastbound between the junctions for Enfield and Kinnegad.

The man, who was alone in his car, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another man in his 20s, who was driving the other car, was taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown. His injuries were not life threatening.

Gardai in Co Kildare have appealed for witnesses to contact Leixlip Garda Station.
