Man found injured on road dies

A man has died after being found seriously injured on a road.

The man who was aged in his 20s was found this morning at about 7.30am on Fassaugh Avenue, Cabra, north Dublin.

Gardai said he was taken to the Mater Hospital with serious injuries where he later died.

The scene where the man was found was sealed off for forensic examinations.

The man was found seriously injured outside the Cabra House pub and is believed to have been assaulted.

Gardai said the state pathologist's office had also been called in to help with investigations and roads in and around the bar have been closed to allow for technical examinations.
