Man freed in double murder probe

A man arrested over a double murder in Co Kerry has been freed without charge

A man arrested in connection with the murders of a mother and daughter has been released without charge.

The 40-year-old was detained on Sunday and questioned about the killings of 27-year-old Jolanta Lubiene and eight-year-old Enrika in Co Kerry.

The pair were discovered dead at their home on the Langford Downs estate just outside Killorglin on Sunday june 16.

Gardai released the man on Monday night and confirmed that a file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Ms Lubiene, originally from Lithuania, was last seen at around 1.50pm on Saturday June 15 in Langford Street, walking towards her semi-detached home.
