Man held in cannabis factory swoop

A man in his early 60s has been arrested over a cannabis factory discovery

A man is being questioned after the discovery of a cannabis factory in a house in Co Wexford.

About 200 plants and cultivation equipment were seized when gardai were called to a property in Chapelwood, Kilmuckridge, on Sunday.

Gardai said the plants have an estimated street value of 240,000 euro, subject to analysis.

A man in his early 60s was arrested at the scene and taken to Enniscorthy Garda Station, where he is being detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

He can be detained for up to seven days.
