Man held over Dublin pub shooting

Three men were seriously wounded when a gunman opened fire on them outside the Players Lounge in Fairview

A man has been arrested over a gun attack outside a north Dublin pub.

Three men, including a doorman and two customers, were seriously wounded when a gunman opened fire on them outside the Players Lounge in Fairview on July 26 last year.

Detectives investigating the incident have detained a man in his 30s. He was arrested in the Dublin area.

The man is being questioned under section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act at Clontarf Garda station. He can be held for up to seven days.

It is the first arrest to be made in the investigation into the triple shooting.
