A man is recovering in hospital after being shot several times as he sat in a car.
The attack happened at about 9.15pm on Thursday at Rusheeny Manor in Clonsilla, west Co Dublin.
The man, 30, was taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown where gardai said he was in a stable condition.
Detectives are treating the shooting as a gangland attack.
The man, who is believed to have been involved in a number of businesses, was hit a number of times in the body and legs.
A car was later found burnt out in Huntstown Avenue, also in Clonsilla.
