A man in his 20s has been injured in a shooting in the north of Dublin.

The incident happened at Ferrycarrig Drive in Coolock earlier this evening.

A Garda source said the man presented himself at Beaumont Hospital at around 7pm.

His injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.

The scene of the incident has been sealed off and gardai have appealed for witnesses.
