Man injured in shooting at door

A man is being treated in hospital after he suffered injuries to his knee and stomach in a shooting at his front door

A 25-year-old man has been injured in a shooting at his front door.

The man was hit in his knee and stomach in the attack in the early hours of Tuesday morning in his home on the Burrin Road, Carlow.

His injuries are not life-threatening.

Gardai said the man was shot at 2.25am after answering a call to his door and he was being treated at St Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny.
