One man has died and another has been rescued in two separate incidents on the River Liffey in Dublin.
The body of a man aged in his 20s was recovered from the water off Wellington Quay at 11.30pm on Wednesday night, approximately 40 minutes after emergency services were called in.
He was taken to the city's Mater Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Gardai said the man's death was not being treated as suspicious.
In a separate incident, a 26-year-old man was rescued by fire crews after jumping into the river off Ormond Quay.
He was later arrested and charged with a public order offence.
