An Army bomb disposal team has made safe three pipe bombs that were discovered in an empty house in Limerick.
The devices were found with some shotgun cartridges during a planned search of the property in the Ballysheedy area at around 2.45am.
The Defence Forces sent a team to the rural scene at 6am and made the devices safe without the need for a controlled explosion.
Investigating gardai have sealed off the area for a forensic examination and the devices have been removed for technical and ballistics tests.
