Post-mortem due on 36-year-old man

Gardai said the 36-year-old man was discovered on St Patrick's Quay in Cork city on Thursday night

A post-mortem is due to be carried out on the body of a man who died after being found unconscious.

Gardai said the 36-year-old was discovered on St Patrick's Quay in Cork city on Thursday night.

He was being treated at Cork University Hospital, where he died in the early hours of this morning.

Gardai said a post-mortem will determine what, if any, injuries the man suffered and determine the direction of the investigation.
