Seating warning for Republic football fans

Football fans who bought tickets for tonight's match between the Republic of Ireland and Argentina through the Ticketmaster website may be in for an unpleasant surprise.

It has emerged that the seating plan provided on the website for the Aviva Stadium in Dublin was not brought up to date until last night.

Some fans may find their seats some distance away from where they thought they would be sitting upon buying the tickets.

Some fans said seats purchased for last week's match between an Airtricity League XI and Manchester United were up to 20 metres away from the spot indicated on the graphic.

After being informed of the problem, Ticketmaster removed the original seating plan and a new “more precise” chart was uploaded to the website.
