Teenage girl shot dead in car

A 16-year-old girl was been shot dead in Dublin last night as she sat in a parked car.
She was shot from a passing vehicle in the Tallaght area at around 10.35pm.
The victim was a passenger in a parked car at Brookview Way when she was hit.
She was taken to Tallaght Hospital where she was later pronounced dead and her body was removed to the mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
Gardai said they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
The state pathologist has been asked to attend.
The scene has been sealed off.
