Three passenger jets were forced to make unscheduled diversions over the weekend, with two making emergency stops in the Irish Republic.
Yesterday, a private jet diverted to Shannon, while on Saturday night a transatlantic passenger flight diverted to Dublin, both with ill passengers.
Also yesterday, a British Airways flight from Heathrow airport to New York made a U-turn over the Atlantic and returned to London following a technical difficulty.
