Three teenagers have been arrested by gardai investigating a suspected arson attack on a speed camera van.
They were detained after a series of planned early-morning searches in the Gorey area of Co Wexford.
The Citroen Relay van, registration 11 KK 491, was set alight on the old N11 road at 7.30pm on March 13.
The operator escaped unharmed from the vehicle, which was parked half a mile south of Arklow on the Gorey Road.
Two youths in their late teens are being detained at Wexford Garda Station and a third suspect, a juvenile, is being questioned at Gorey Garda Station.
All three are being detained under Section 4 of The Criminal Justice Act 1984.
There have been several arson attacks on mobile speed cameras since they were rolled out across the country in November.
Operated by trained GoSafe personnel, they provide 6,000 enforcement hours and 1,475 survey hours per month nationwide.
The suspected arson attack was condemned by Garda Commissioner Martin Callinan, who maintained GoSafe was helping gardai cut death and serious injuries on Irish roads.
