Two held in drugs swoop on car

The cocaine and cannabis haul was seized during a search on a car at Main Street in Glenville, Cork

Detectives have arrested a man and a woman over the recovery of drugs thought to be worth 100,000 euro .

The cocaine and cannabis haul was seized during a search on a car at Main Street in Glenville, Cork .

A man and a woman, both aged in their 30s, were arrested at the scene and taken to Mayfield Garda station where they are being questioned under section two of the Drug Trafficking Act. They can be held for up to seven days.

The drugs have been sent for analysis.

The operation was carried out by the Cork City Divisional Drugs Unit as part of a continuing investigation into the sale and supply of drugs in Cork.
