Two men held over cannabis haul

Around 1.32 million euro worth of cannabis was uncovered during a search of a yard in Termonfeckin, Co Louth

Two men were arrested following the discovery of around 1.32 million euro worth of cannabis.

Officers from the Garda National Drugs Unit uncovered the haul during a search of a yard in Termonfeckin, Co Louth yesterday afternoon.

The men, aged 40 and 59, were detained at the scene and taken to Drogheda Garda station where they were held under provisions of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

They are due to appear in court in Dublin.
